Town of Bennett Thanks Rich Pulliam for Years of Service

After over 17 years of dedicated service to the Town of Bennett, Trustee Rich Pulliam has resigned from his position on the Board of Trustees.

“We would like to thank Trustee Pulliam for his years committed to the Bennett community,” said Town Administrator Trish Stiles, “I know we will all miss him a great deal as he was an amazing supporter to our wonderful Town.”

The Town Board will discuss filing the vacancy during the Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. 

Bennett Board of Trustees Approves Watering Limitations

The Town of Bennett Board of Trustees approved new watering restrictions on June 22, 2021. These watering restrictions are effective immediately. 

Watering is not allowed between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Hand watering will be permitted during these hours.  

The Board of Trustees voted to approve these watering restrictions in order to manage summertime water usage and protect the Town’s available and future water supply. 

Artist Jayson Fann Partners with Anythink Bennett to Bring New Art to the Community

Anythink Libraries and artist, Jayson Fann, have partnered to create outdoor sculptures for communities throughout Adams County, including Bennett.

Anythink will be working with Fann to create spirit nests. These sculptures are made from local reclaimed materials. Fann will be collecting materials and forging for wood to use for the project from areas around Bennett from June 29 – July 2, 2021.

COVID-19 Testing Temporarily Moves Location

COVID-19 testing with COVIDCheck Colorado has moved to the Shared Services Building at 355 S. 1st Street, Bennett, beginning Thursday, May 6th through the end of June. Testing remains on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Water Violation Notice Clarification

Bennett residents recently received a notice regarding the Town of Bennett’s 2021 Sanitary Survey. It is required that the notice be sent to all water users when a violation has been identified by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment during the three-year routine inspection. It is important to understand that this situation is not an emergency, all Town water infrastructure is functioning properly and drinking water in Bennett is safe to drink .

If a situation should arise where the water is no longer safe, residents will be notified immediately.

Town of Bennett and CDPHE to Host Second COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

The Town of Bennett will be hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Thursday, April 8, 2021, in partnership with Governor Polis’ Vaccines for All plan. 

The vaccination clinic will be held at the Bennett Community Center, 1100 W. Colfax Avenue, Bennett CO, 80102 from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Governor Polis announced on Monday that starting Friday, April 2, the general public will be eligible to receive their vaccines. All residents who are 18 and up will be able to register for this vaccination clinic. CDPHE will be administering the Moderna Vaccine.
