Town Board Celebrates the 2024 Bennett Gives Back Grant Recipients
Fire Restrictions: Stage 1, Effective July 17, 2024
Due to dry conditions the Town of Bennett hereby orders a stage one (1) fire restrictions within the Town of Bennett incorporated limits effective immediately. These restrictions will remain in effect until such time this order is formally rescinded or temporarily suspended by the Town Manager, and such date cannot be determined at this time. The Town Manager, in consultation with the Bennett Watkins Fire District and the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, will review the restrictions and adjust as need in two weeks’ time.

Town of Bennett Receives Nearly $6 Million in Open Space Grants from Adams County
The Town of Bennett is honored to announce the receipt of almost $6 million in open space grants from Adams County Open Space.
These grants were awarded during the Adams County Board of Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 and will fund projects aimed at enhancing the Town's infrastructure and open spaces. The Town was awarded three significant grants:
State Highway 79 Widening at Morgan Way
From July 12, 2024 through September 27, 2024 Fiore & Sons, Inc and LGI Homes will be conducting road work along State Highway 79 (SH-79) at the intersection of Morgan way/Greg's Place. During this period, SH-79 will divert traffic to a temporary road.
This construction and diverted traffic will be 24 hours/day, 7 days a week. Travelers and residents should expect reduced speeds on SH-79 between 8th Street and Old Victory Road.

Dahlia Street Scheduled Water Shutoff
The Town of Bennett Utilities Department will be working on a water service line on Dahlia Street Tuesday, June 18, 2024. There will be a scheduled water shutoff from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

2024 Reduced Building Permit Fee Month
June is Reduced Building Permit Fee Month for homeowners!
Get your permit during the month of June and permit fees will be reduced by 50% on some home projects.
Permit fees on projects including siding, windows, fences, reroofing, decks, AC improvements, furnace replacements, water/sewer repairs and water heaters will be reduced by 50% during the month of June.
The goal is to help residents with the cost of permit fees and still encourage home improvement projects.
