The Bennett Community Food Bank serves the Eastern I-70 Corridor which includes the communities of Watkins, Bennett, Strasburg, Byers, Deer Trail and Agate. Located in the Bennett Community Center, the Food Bank is open the first and third Saturday of every month, 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.; the third Saturday of the month is devoted to USDA Commodities distribution.

The Food Bank has witnessed an increase in the number of families requiring assistance. Monthly the Bennett Community Food Bank assists 391 individuals (102 families).
The Food Bank is supported by monetary and non-perishable food donations from the community, and local businesses and also local events such as Bennett Elementary School World Food Day Drive, and the Boy Scouts Good Turn Week. Our partnerships with the Food Bank of the Rockies, Adams County Food Distribution, 9Cares/Colorado Shares and King Soopers ensure that we are able to respond to the needs of the community.
And, even more, the Bennett Community Food Bank Advisory Board is a team of volunteers’ who are always prepared to go the extra mile.
