2022 Municipal Election Canceled, New Trustees to be Elected in April

In 2022, there were three Trustee seats available to serve on the Town of Bennett Board of Trustees. The Municipal Election for these seats has been canceled because the number of candidate affidavits received was not more than the seats to be filled. 

Darvin Harrell and Kevin Barden will be re-elected and the board will welcome Steve Dambroski for his first term. The trustees will serve a four-year term ending in 2026. They will be sworn in during the board meeting on April 12, 2022. 

Town Hall Closed Wednesday February 2, 2022

Bennett residents, due to inclement weather Town Hall will be closed on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

A Winter Weather Advisory was issued and is in effect until Midnight Feb. 2, 2022. Road conditions could be dangerous, please use extreme caution if you have to travel today. 

The Town of Bennett Public Works Department is asking residents to try and avoid street parking and blocking cul-de-sacs in order to help snow removal crews.

Town Hall Closing at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022

Due to staffing, there will be limited services* at Town Hall until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Town Hall will be closing at 1 p.m. 

During this time, we encourage residents and visitors to complete their services online, by phone or through email. 

Town Hall will also be closed Monday, January 17, 2022 in in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 

2021 Holiday Lighting Contest Winners

Each year the Town of Bennett hosts a holiday lighting contest. We would like to thank everyone who participated during this past holiday season.

Third Tuesday Virtual Support from Adams and Arapahoe County

Adams and Arapahoe County are offering virtual meeting times on the third Tuesday of every month to learn more about support services and available Federal & State assistance programs, which include: Food Assistance, Health First Colorado (Medicaid), Cash Assistance, Child Care Assistance and LEAP.

Community Partner CASA of Adams and Broomfield Annual Light of Hope Event

CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties annual Light of Hope Fundraiser has been postponed to April 19, 2022

The goal of this event is to increase awareness about CASA's mission and recruit CASA Volunteers, while raising funds to continue providing advocacy for children who have experienced abuse and neglect. This year's fundraiser will include inspiring stories to illustrate the vital role CASA plays in supporting children in need and strengthening families. 

Planning and Zoning Commission to Serve as Board of Adjustment

Beginning January 1, 2022, the Town of Bennett Planning and Zoning Commission will serve as the Board of Adjustment. 

The Town Board of Trustees approved this change in a meeting on September 28, 2022. 

The Board of Adjustment hears and reviews appeals for any order, requirement, decision or determination made by an administrative official charged with enforcement of the provisions of Chapter 16 and to authorize variances from the terms of Chapter 16 subject to the criteria set forth in Section 16-2-360. 

How to Help Following Boulder County Fires

At this time, the impacted municipalities and first responders cannot accept volunteers or donated goods. Managing these creates a dangerous distraction from crisis management.

Direct cash assistance to aid the emergency response and support the victims is most needed. Donations should be directed to: Community Foundation of Boulder - Boulder County Wildfire Fund
