Marketplace Road Work Wednesday, May 18, 2022

The Town of Bennett will be completing road repairs on Marketplace Drive on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. 

During this time Marketplace Drive will be reduced to one lane. Flaggers will be present to assist with traffic control. Please use extra caution while traveling through the work zone.

Kiowa Bennett Road Repairs

The Town of Bennett will be conducting road repairs, including repairing potholes, on Kiowa Bennett Road on Friday, May 6 and Monday, May 9, 2022.

During this time traffic will be reduced to one lane. Flaggers will guide traffic but use caution when traveling through the area.

Trupp Park Water line work, 1st Street Closure

The Town of Bennett Public Works Department will be continuing work on the water lines and concrete near Trupp Park from Wednesday, May 4, 2022 to Thursday, May 12, 2022. 

During this time, 1st Street will be closed with limited thru access from Washington Avenue to Lincoln Avenue. 

If possible, please avoid the area and use an alternate route. 

Kiowa Avenue Road Closure 

Kiowa Avenue will be closed from Custer Street to Adams Street for pipeline work from Monday, April 25, 2022 to Friday, April 29, 2022.

Participants wanted for Bennett Community Garden

The Town of Bennett is looking for community volunteers to plant and care for the Bennett Community Garden in Civic Center Park. 

The Town first opened the community garden in the summer of 2020 after receiving grants from Adams County Open Space and LiveWell HEAL Cities and Towns. The garden was created to connect area residents with their agricultural heritage and provide individuals of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to come together in the spirit of community. 

Town of Bennett Trustees Take Oath of Office

Three Trustees were sworn into office to serve on the Bennett Board of Trustees on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. 

Kevin Barden, Steve Dambroski and Darvin Harrell were sworn into office during the Town Board Meeting on Tuesday night. Harrell and Barden were re-elected to the board. Dambroski is serving his first term. The trustees will serve a four-year term ending in 2026. 

Harrell, Barden and Dambroski join fellow board members: Mayor Royce Pindell, Whitney Oakley, Denice Smith and Donna Sus. 

Town of Bennett Helps Celebrate Groundbreaking of Sonic Drive-In

The Town of Bennett was happy to be part of a groundbreaking celebration for the new location of Sonic Drive-In on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. 

Mayor Royce Pindell and Town Administrator Trish Stiles joined representatives from Sonic Drive-In at the future site of the new restaurant for the groundbreaking. 
“We are happy to welcome Sonic to the Bennett community,” Pindell said.

Severe Storm Spotter Certification Class

Adams and Arapahoe Counties Amateur Radio Emergency Service is hosting a free Severe Storm Spotter Certification Class. 

April 20, 2022 at 5:30 p.m.

This class is for those who would like to become a certified storm spotter or those who just have interest in Colorado weather. 

The class will be hosted by meteorologist for the National Weather Service Denver/Boulder, Scott Entrekin.
