Beginning January 1, 2022, the Town of Bennett Planning and Zoning Commission will serve as the Board of Adjustment.
The Town Board of Trustees approved this change in a meeting on September 28, 2022.
The Board of Adjustment hears and reviews appeals for any order, requirement, decision or determination made by an administrative official charged with enforcement of the provisions of Chapter 16 and to authorize variances from the terms of Chapter 16 subject to the criteria set forth in Section 16-2-360.
This decision was made in order to more efficiently guarantee a quorum at meetings.
The Planning and Zoning Commission provide recommendations to the Board of Trustees on zoning and a wide range of planning and development related issues. They meet on the third Monday of each month at 6 p.m.
