Water Violation Notice Clarification

Bennett residents recently received a notice regarding the Town of Bennett’s 2021 Sanitary Survey. It is required that the notice be sent to all water users when a violation has been identified by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment during the three-year routine inspection. It is important to understand that this situation is not an emergency, all Town water infrastructure is functioning properly and drinking water in Bennett is safe to drink .

If a situation should arise where the water is no longer safe, residents will be notified immediately.

Town of Bennett and CDPHE to Host Second COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

The Town of Bennett will be hosting a COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Thursday, April 8, 2021, in partnership with Governor Polis’ Vaccines for All plan. 

The vaccination clinic will be held at the Bennett Community Center, 1100 W. Colfax Avenue, Bennett CO, 80102 from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Governor Polis announced on Monday that starting Friday, April 2, the general public will be eligible to receive their vaccines. All residents who are 18 and up will be able to register for this vaccination clinic. CDPHE will be administering the Moderna Vaccine. 

Winter Storm Warning: Saturday March 13, 2021 - Monday March 15, 2021. Town Hall Closed March 15, 2021

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Bennett and the surrounding areas beginning Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 5:00 a.m. until Monday, March 15, 2021 at 6:00 a.m.

Town of Bennett Town Hall will be closed Monday March 15, 2021.

Heavy snow possible, but it will also be mixed with rain at times. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 14 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. This could cause difficult travel conditions. If at all possible, avoid any unnecessary travel. 

Town of Bennett Opens Applications for 2021 Bennett Gives Back

The Town of Bennett has opened the 2021 Grant Cycle for the Bennett Gives Back Grant.  

Applications for the Bennett Gives Back Grant will be due May 3, 2021. Applicants must be a non-profit, youth association or special district. A full list of eligibility requirements and application is available online here

Town of Bennett Resumes In-Home Inspections

The Town of Bennett Building Department will resume in-home inspections on March 1, 2021. 

The Building Department will schedule in-home inspections in the order they were originally scheduled prior to postponement due to COVID-19 regulations, unless the inspection is a life safety issue.

Bennett Takes Vital Steps for Securing Water for Their Future

The Town of Bennett, as a member of the BennT Creek Regional Water Authority, is a participant in a recent water court filing for the BennT Creek water project to secure access to renewable water supplies to best serve the current and future residents of the Town.
