Muegge Way Road Closure 12/14 - 12/21

Muegge Way will be closed to all thru traffic starting Monday December 14, 2020 until Monday December 21, 2020. 

Detours will be posted and residents may access Town of Bennett Town Hall and the Bennett Park and Recreation District through the access road off of State Highway 79.

Bennett Holiday Help Program

This year the Adams County Sheriff’s Office is unable to hold the Santa’s Sleigh program which provides necessities and gifts for families in need. Because of this, the Town of Bennett and the Bennett School District have created the Holiday Help Program.

It is the goal of the Holiday Help Program to provide Bennett families in need with necessities such as food and clothing as well as gifts for the holiday season.

Adams and Arapahoe County are offering virtual meeting times on Tuesday, November 17, to learn more about support services and available Federal & State assistance programs, which include: Food Assistance, Health First Colorado (Medicaid), Cash Assistance, Child Care Assistance and LEAP.            

New Public Health Orders Implemented to Contain Alarming Rise COVID-19 Cases in Adams County

Failure to lower cases could shut county down.

Despite further restrictions, COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Adams County at an alarming rate, while the number of available hospital beds for intensive care patients becomes more limited. In an effort to slow community-wide spread of the virus, Tri-County Health Department is issuing a public health order that goes into effect at 10 p.m., Nov. 7, 2020, and will be in effect for 30 days.

Skyrocketing COVID-19 Cases Force Adams County to Level 3 of Safer at Home Starting October 28

Because Adams County incidence rates are almost double the level needed to stay in Level 2 of Safer at Home and hospitalizations are rising statewide, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) will move the county into Level 3 of Safer at Home on the state’s dial in hopes to quickly reduce the spread of the virus. The dial is a framework to inform counties about how they are doing to contain the virus and has five levels. Level 3 of Safer at Home is the highest risk level before Stay at Home measures.

The public health order goes into effect at 9 p.m. October 16 and will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, unless it’s extended. The order includes the following:
