The Planning & Zoning Commission usually meets on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m the Bennett Town Hall, 207 Muegge, Way, or by way of virtual meetings. The location of the meeting will be posted on the agenda.
The purpose of the commission is to provide recommendations to the Board of Trustees on zonings and a wide range of planning and development related issues.
Members shall be registered electors and residents of the Town of Bennett for at least one year immediately preceding the date of their appointment.
The Planning and Zoning Commission is made up of seven members who are appointed by the Board of Trustees.

Effective January 1, 2022, the Planning and Zoning Commission will serve as the Board of Adjustment for the Town of Bennett.
Town of Bennett Seeking Applications for Vacancy on Planning and Zoning Commission
The Town of Bennett Board of Trustees is seeking applications to fill three vacancies to serve as commissioner on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Persons interested in serving on the Planning and Zoning Commission must be a resident within the Bennett Town limits.
Once appointed, the newest members will serve a three-year term. To apply, interested parties must be a resident of the Town of Bennett for at least one year.
The Planning and Zoning Commission typically meets on the third (3rd) Monday of every month. Typical duties include: Subdivision Regulations, including review of proposals; Zoning Regulations, and to perform the duties specified in Title 31, Article 23 of the Colorado Revised Statues and the Bennett Municipal Code. The Commission also acts as the Board of Adjustment.
The Board of Adjustment meets as required. Duties include making determinations and authorizing variances from the terms of Chapter 16 of the Bennett Municipal Code.
A background check will be required for each candidate and will be sent via email after an application is received.
