The Planning & Zoning Commission usually meets on the third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m the Bennett Town Hall, 207 Muegge, Way, or by way of virtual meetings. The location of the meeting will be posted on the agenda.
The purpose of the commission is to provide recommendations to the Board of Trustees on zonings and a wide range of planning and development related issues.
Members shall be registered electors and residents of the Town of Bennett for at least one year immediately preceding the date of their appointment.
The Planning and Zoning Commission is made up of seven members who are appointed by the Board of Trustees.

Effective January 1, 2022, the Planning and Zoning Commission will serve as the Board of Adjustment for the Town of Bennett.
Per the Town of Bennett Municipal Code, the Board of Adjustment shall have the following powers and duties, all of which shall be subject to and in compliance with state law and in harmony with the purpose and intent of the Code and with the most appropriate development of the neighborhood:
- To hear and decide appeals from and review any order, requirement, decision or determination made by an administrative official charged with enforcement of the provisions of Chapter 16 of the Code.
- To hear and decide all matters referred to it or upon which it is required to pass under Chapter 16 of the Code.
- To authorize variances from the terms of Chapter 16, subject to the criteria set forth in Section 16-2-370 of the Code.
- To perform each and all of the duties specified in Section 31-23-307, C.R.S., together with all other duties and authority which may hereafter be conferred on it by State law.
The Planning and Zoning Commission will also adopt bylaws and rules of procedure for the Board of Adjustment.
