Message from Mayor Pindell Regarding Coronavirus

My Friends and Neighbors

The Town of Bennett is endeavoring to gather the best information we can about the Coronavirus, COVID-19. We are following the guidance from the Federal Government, the State of Colorado, Tri County Health and Adams and Arapahoe Counties. We have links to information on our website and Facebook page. We have set our policies to help everyone get through this challenging time.

Out of an abundance of caution, we ask you follow the good advice of hand washing much more often, avoiding touching your face without washing first, staying three to six feet away from unfamiliar people, social distancing and avoiding groups larger than ten people during this time.  If you are sick, please stay home from work and isolate yourself and please seek medical assistance if your condition worsens.   This should result in slowing the spread of the COVID-19 virus and other potential viruses such as flu.

Stock your house for a week, as we would for a blizzard. Please, however, avoid panic buying and hoarding, the stores in Bennett are receiving shipments and will restock soon.

Our offices and other businesses are avoiding face to face interactions until this virus is under control. Our restaurants will be providing takeout food for the time being. The Schools are extending Spring break and will be evaluating their decisions on an ongoing basis.

Each of us need to be aware of this changing situation and stay informed, but remain calm. In times like this, if we all do our part we will endure this and our world will return to normal in time.

Sincerely,

Royce Pindell

Mayor of Bennett
