CDOT Concrete Panel Replacement

Colorado Department of Transportation has begun work to improve several different sections of roadway and intersections throughout the Denver Metro area. Work at the various locations listed below will include concrete panel removal and replacement, joint sealing to minimize the effects of surface water infiltration, full depth roadway repair in sections that are damaged beyond pothole filling, asphalt resurfacing, and pavement markings. This project was contracted to Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction Company for $4 million.

This project will improve safety to the traveling public by replacing crumbling roadway to create a smoother drive. Intersection improvements will provide a safer and more efficient travel for motor vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians.

TRAVEL IMPACTS

Most of the project work will be completed at night with occasional daytime work. Depending on the project location this may involve, shoulder, on-ramp, single and double lane closures. You can request to sign up for email notifications by calling the project hotline and leaving your email address or emailing us at the email listed below to get up to date information on closures related to this project.

WHOLE SYSTEM. WHOLE SAFETY.

To heighten safety awareness, CDOT recently announced its Whole System — Whole Safety initiative. This project takes a systematic statewide approach to safety combining the benefits of CDOT’s programs that address driving behaviors, our built environment and the organization's operations. The goal is to improve the safety of Colorado’s transportation network by reducing the rate and severity of crashes and improving the safety of all transportation modes. The program has one simple mission—to get everyone home safely.
