The Town of Bennett Building Department will resume in-home inspections on March 1, 2021.
The Building Department will schedule in-home inspections in the order they were originally scheduled prior to postponement due to COVID-19 regulations, unless the inspection is a life safety issue.
During home inspections, the Town of Bennett inspector will wear a mask for the entire inspection. Gloves will also be worn for the entirety of the inspection unless it hinders the inspection from being performed, in which case the inspector will use hand sanitizer before and after the inspection.
The Town asks that homeowners also wear a mask during the inspection as well as maintain the appropriate six feet of distance while the inspector is in the home.
If the homeowner is exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, headache or body aches, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea or loss of taste or smell, they should reschedule their home inspection.
