In a letter to the Town, the Bennett Community Food Bank said “This [the truck] will help us to be able to pick up donations in one trip instead of two or three. Thank you to all of you from the Town of Bennett that made this possible and to everyone that made donations to the food bank. ”Dan and Flora Goodnight made the request  on behalf of the Bennett Community Food Bank. Both Dan and Flora have been working for the food bank for over 20 years and have been using their own vehicle to transport donations to Bennett.

The food bank was able to purchase the truck from local car dealership, South Havana Motor Company.
