Public Health Order

Tri-County Health Department has issued a public health order limiting gatherings—both public and private—to reduce the recent surge in Adams County cases and to protect the public’s health and the economy. The public health order goes into effect at 9 p.m. October 16 and will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, unless it’s extended. The order includes the following:

  1. Spectators are prohibited at Colorado High School Sports Association (CHSSA) sanctioned sporting events.
  2. Spectators are prohibited from adult recreational and league sports.
  3. Organized recreational and league youth sports are limited to 25 people per field, including spectators. Coaches and referees are excluded from the 25-person capacity limit.
  4. Personal indoor gatherings are limited to no more than 5 individuals. Outdoor personal gatherings are limited to no more than 10 individuals. Life rite ceremonies are excluded. Nothing in this order prohibits the gathering of members living in the same household.
  5. Cease all alcohol beverage sales at 10 p.m.

Pledge to Protect

In the last few weeks, Adams County has seen a troubling spike in confirmed COVID‐19 cases. This rise in caseloads has threatened to move Adams County to Level 3 of the State's Safer at Home Public Health Order. Among other restrictions, Level 3 status would reduce restaurant capacity and potentially force fitness centers and gyms to offer only remote options.

To remain at Level 2, Adams County worked with Tri-County Health Department (TCHD) to finalize the Adams County COVID-19 Mitigation Plan to help control the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Residents are encouraged to access free COVID-19 testing at Water World if they have symptoms or have come into contact with someone who is COVID-19 positive.
