UPDATE: Due to weather and construction delays, Palmer Avenue will remain closed through Friday, May 12, 2023.
In order to continue the installation of Purple Pipe under the Union Pacific Railroad, Palmer Avenue will be closed Colfax Avenue (HWY 36) to 1st Street beginning Monday, May 1, 2023 to Friday, May 12, 2023.
One lane of Palmer Avenue will be opened during Bennett School District drop off from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and pickup from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
We ask that during this week you avoid the area of work and use alternate routes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
The expansion of the Town’s purple pipe distribution system is one of the Town of Bennett Board of Trustees priority projects in 2023. Purple Pipe allows recycled water to be used for irrigation throughout Town.
