Bennett Neighbors,

In light of the incident near Trupp Park on August 29, 2023, we would like to thank all of the law enforcement agencies and first responders for their work ensuring the safety of our community. Thank you to the Adams County Sheriff’s Department, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Department and the Colorado State patrol for their quick response.

We would also like to thank the Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue and the Town of Bennett Community Safety officers for their response to the incident.

To the coaches, parents and children thank you for working with local law enforcement.

We also thank the Bennett School District for locking down their campus in order to keep everyone there safe, as well as providing transportation to those affected by the investigation.
And finally, we would like to commend Town Staff for the help they were able to provide the responding agencies.

We are thankful no one was injured last night and grateful to have a community where all these agencies can come together quickly in order to keep our residents safe.

-Mayor Royce Pindell and the Town of Bennett Board of Trustees
