Business Services Program

The Town of Bennett is dedicated to serving the Bennett Business Community. Check out some of our ongoing services supporting local businesses.

Benefits of Bennett (BOB)

The Town of Bennett created the Benefits of Bennett program to support existing businesses that are making exterior improvements to their property and in turn create a vibrant commercial environment in Bennett. The 50% reimbursement matches public and private investment in Bennett and is approved administratively.  The program is administered on a first-come, first-served basis in an amount up to $5,000 per business and not to exceed $15,000.00 per building per year.  The B.O.B. seeks to bring new opportunity to existing buildings thus improving economic vitality for all businesses and the Town as a whole.

Enterprise Zone

Did you know that the Town of Bennett is located almost entirely within a State of Colorado Enterprise Zone?  An Enterprise Zone (EZ) is considered an economically distressed area where businesses are eligible to receive Colorado state income tax credits for activity such as creating jobs and investing in capital.

Economic Development Assistance Policy

An applicant can apply for rebates of sales or property taxes generated, as well as rebates or a reduction of various permit fees.  This process is approved by the Town Board of Trustees.  The assistance policy was created to target new and expanding businesses that diversify our economic base and continue to provide for the fiscal health of our community while respecting our environment and our unique small town feel.

Access Demographic, Consumer and Workforce Data

We have incorporated a new GIS tool into the Town’s website that allows for easy identification of available properties and the corresponding Ersi data within a certain distance or drive-time, such as demographics, consumers information, and workforce data. This tool is available to everyone, including our local business and development community, and is a great way to drive interested prospects to your property and gather information on the local economy.
